Humanity has committed ALL the crimes that ever were. So, where do we start? SLAVERY? THE HOLOCAUST? HIROSHIMA & NAGASAKI?, etc. The HUMAN BEING IS INHERENTLY & ORGANICALLY BAD; there is no REDEEMING her. So, why all the HOOPLA about the goings-on in the Middle East? Countless CIVILIZATIONS have been destroyed in the past, DELIBERATELY by humans. This is nothing new, even as it SHOCKS THE CONSCIENCES of every decent human being. The human being by its very nature is NO GOOD!!! It therefore makes one wonder what KIND OF AGENCY/AGENCIES conceived the idea to bring the human beings into existence? One cannot DIVORCE THE CREATOR FROM THE CREATED. If this is the BEST that CREATOR could do, then, it beggars the question as to HIS/HER ''ALL-KNOWINGNESS''

Herbert, indeed, human beings have done much, too much that should have been beyond the pale. It's also true that human beings have acted in extraordinarily good ways. There are no forces (invisible) beyond ourselves that compel us to act as we do. It is not inevitable that things should be as they are. I certainly don't wish to be a person for whom the act of promising to rid the world of a people and culture is akin to just another day playing in the wind.

Is it not also the case that 'the human being' has committed all of the good deeds that ever were? It's rather reductive to say that all of humanity is inherently evil when it is the actions of few that are propagating this conflict. Furthermore, is it not also the case that the 'hoopla' generated is an indicator that there are those among us who are 'good' in some sense? Perhaps humanity would truly be lost, even inherently bad and evil, if we all cheered for this conflict to continue and for more lives to be lost. I believe it to be the case that some amongst us cheer, some may protest or take action, and too many are indifferent. Humanity is a mixed bag, and even individuals who are judged to be the most good or evil on the axis of this conflict may be inversely good or evil by some other measure. Regardless, what I'm trying to say is that individuals are complex, and that while humanity may be capable of great evil, it is also capable of great good. We ought to continue to have our consciences be shocked and stir up some hoopla, I believe it to be a sign of some inherent human goodness.
